Ancient Egypt gave the world Egyptian cotton, yet little of the ancient clothing designs survive in the manner of the Asian sytle clothing or European Retro styles, as if anything goes in the Fashion World.. I looked for something authentic... and found the "galabia". I dont see this sort of dress in the ancient temple paintings.. in fact for the most part, few garments were worn, and they seemed to be "see-thru" as if they were made of gauze, breasts were exposed, clothes clinged to the body, draped losely, or covered barely... all of it seems very erotic.. I also found a few patterns that also didnt show what the Ancient Egyptians really wore.. expect maybe bellydance outfits.. I have decided to show some clothing with a bit more style.. and still give the feeling of the past..
